Richard and Bryony’s wedding

A Beautifully relaxed day* capturing the wedding photos of Richard and Bryony.

The morning was spent with the bridal party in Derby as they got ready. *Just before I arrived I was informed that a duck had fallen down their chimney creating a huge mess of poop, dust and general chaos, not what you’d normal want on your wedding morning.

Then it was off to St Alkmunds Duffield for the wedding ceremony.

St Alkmunds Duffield is a lovely church for a wedding. Beautifully bright inside which is great for wedding photographs.

After a couple of readings, 2 songs and a short wedding ceremony it’s all done and the newly married couple are off to the Carriage Hall at Plumtree, Nottingham. One of the nicest, modern wedding reception locations I’ve seen for a while. It’s on the outskirts of Nottingham but has fields surrounding it so it’s nice a quiet.

This place has AMAZING food. It’s actually rare that some couples offer a meal for a photographer but these guys kindly did and wow! The beef was incredible and the sticky toffee pudding after was pure heaven. I’d go back to work there only under the condition that I get that meal again, amazing, trust me.

So the speeches were delivered with the usual kindness and abuse towards the Groom and entertained everyone.

Then it was coffee, setup the Social Booth photo booth and the band started to play. The band was called Dammit Jack and are one of the finest 3 piece bands I’ve seen and heard in a long time of doing this. Great twists on classic songs that you know but performed beautifully. Well worth checking them out.

That just left the first dance and the party into the night.

A really great, friendly atmosphere throughout the day and a absolute joy to photograph this wedding.

I’d like to thank Richard and Bryony for having me as their wedding photographer and to wish them all the best in their continued adventures together as husband and wife.

If you’re interested in having me as your wedding photographer in Nottingham or Derby then do feel free to get in touch.
